Benefits of Baby Yoga
Baby Yoga can help strengthen your baby’s muscles, improve flexibility and develop coordination, balance and body awareness - all important for laying the foundations for sitting, crawling and walking. Like baby massage, it's great for bonding with your baby and releases feel good hormones for both you and baby, helping you to feel relaxed and connected. It can also enhance communication with your baby - they learn from your interactions with them while you learn to focus on their cues.

We offer two different baby yoga courses - I recommend you begin with our Baby Massage Course which is suitable for babies around 6 weeks to pre-crawling, then progressing onto our Baby Yoga and Baby Massage Combined Course which is suitable from 12 weeks to pre-crawling, followed by Baby Yoga with Developmental Play for babies who are 16 weeks plus and are able to support themselves a little more. Baby Yoga & Play

Our Baby Yoga and Developmental Play Course is suitable for babies 16 weeks to pre-crawling.

This is a 5 week course and each class lasts 1 hour.
​​
​Our 5 week Baby Yoga and Developmental Play Course combines soft stretching inspired by traditional yoga poses to help support the development of babies and to aid parent and baby interaction and bonding. This term is more interactive than baby massage by including more movement such as swings and dips as well as stretches and lots of singing. You will be moving your baby into the yoga poses, swings and dips for example which is really good fun for both of you and a great way to bond and interact with each other too. However, it is still gentle enough for babies and never over-stimulating.

​​Each week we have a new theme and you will learn new yoga poses and recap over the poses learned in
previous weeks to help to build your knowledge.

There's also lots of elements of developmental play which is aimed specifically at young babies such as fun with the parachute, peek-a-boo with sensory scarfs, popping and eye-tracking gentle bubbles, lap songs with actions, singing and music!
Baby Yoga & Massage

This course runs for 5 weeks and each class is 1 hour 15 minutes long, providing time for Baby Yoga, Baby Massage as well as refreshments and time for the Mama's to chat at the end of each session.

Our Baby Yoga and Baby Massage Combined Course is suitable from 12 weeks to pre-crawling

The Baby Yoga element of the course combines soft stretches inspired by traditional yoga poses to help support the development of babies and to aid relaxation and bonding. We also include Baby Massage each week which compliments the focus of Baby Yoga for each session. For example during the first week the Yoga focus is on mobilizing the hips which involves lots of Yoga movements for the legs, supported by Baby Massage for the legs.

Plus, as part of this course, a Tummy Time Workshop is included each week to give you different techniques for tummy time, the benefits, different activities and how to help your little one if they aren't keen on being on their front.

Baby Yoga is more stimulating and interactive than Baby Massage by including more movement such as swings and dips as well as stretches and lots of singing. This even provides some light exercise for you as well because you will be moving your baby into the yoga poses, swings and dips for example. It's really good fun for both of you and a great way to bond and interact with each other too
